Why the Path Notes?

Like the Japanese term “kaizen-do-ka” includes the term “do” meaning “way,” my essays reveal my notes from my path.  They may serve to empower you towards overcoming your near-impossible life challenge. Here’s what I mean:

Imagine yourself being jailed in America for a crime that you did not commit, experiencing a legal system only interested in its conviction and not the truth.  After conviction by a well-trained team of “thought police,” your sentence for a unknowingly associating with a white-collar criminal gets reduced from “life” imprisonment to 292 months.  Shortly thereafter the love of your life for sixteen years departs, denying you access to your children.  Now, figure out how to claw your way out of a draconian system of injustice, remain healthy mentally and physically while inside the wire, and turn your hellish obstacle into an opportunity.

Maya Angelou once wrote, “I can be changed by what happens to me in life, but I refuse to be reduced by it.”  I believe she was paraphrasing Nietzsche’s “Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” maxim.  But how is this accomplished?

My Path Notes reflect “how” I practiced continuous improvement, and more importantly–“why.”  Success is about performing the common under uncommon conditions.

May my notes serve you in your quest.

  1. As always, these essays stimulate thought, and questions. When placed in any situation there is still one thing common.CHOICES. .. and those differ from the individual they are thrust upon. Thank you for using a very dismal circumstance and making positive reality. Not just for yourself, but others that may come in contact with you.
    Whoa. GOD Speed!
